In addition to creating my little " Critters". some of which are listed on my page, I also as a hobby restore/ renovate Antique/ Vintage wooden doll,s houses. I begin with the shell of the house which sometimes is intact and just requires small repairs and some houses with bits missing,ie. floors parts of roofs etc. These I recreate from old original aged pieces of wood in keeping with the age of the house. I add gardens, floral decorations like window boxes/ponds/outside people etc. Then when the outside is complete, I begin on the inside. I decorate, wallpaper, paint, make furniture and dolls for inside, carpets, rugs and other accessories to complete the rooms, until I am happy with the way it looks, I sell some out on The Doll Fairs and to private customers. Some of them do take several months to complete .This one I am listing now is called " Blue Moon Cottage" and is reconstructed from a house originally made by an American Co, called Greenleaf..It is quite large and heavy and because it has so much detail, some of which is delicate, I regret it has to be strictly Collection Only from PR3 2BN, Preston area, Lancashire. I know that even with the most careful handling, items can get damaged in transit via Courier, and I am not happy to take that risk, hence the Collection Only.
