GOLD FILLED EAR-HOOKS WITH DELICATE 5MM TEARDROP GILT ENCASED CRYSTALS
Lovely 5mm Teardrop Crystals encased in a gilt floral bale (2 tiny gold coloured daisies sat at the top and side of the crystal). These are then set onto a pair of Gold Filled Ear Hooks.

Yellow gold filled jewellery is a good quality, more affordable alternative to solid gold. Also known as “rolled gold” or “gold overlay”, it’s easily confused with gold plating; however, the key difference is that it’s filled with solid gold, hence the name.
In terms of the construction of gold filled jewellery, the layer of solid gold is bonded to a base metal (such as brass, rhodium, copper or sterling silver) using a specific amount of heat and pressure. The jewellery piece has to have solid gold content of at least 5% of its total weight, otherwise it’s not classed as gold filled.
How to care for Gold Filled Jewellery
Avoid wearing jewellery in salty environments including swimming and workouts as it will become dull.
Keep it as dry as possible and store in an air tight bag and avoid rubbing against other jewellery as it can lose its sheen.
Be careful of perfumes, hairspray and hand lotions as the jewellery can be tarnished by the harsh chemicals.
Gently wipe with a jewellery polishing cloth every so often
